"Twilight" is a young adult novel written by Stephenie Meyer. “Twilight” takes place in the small town of Forks Washington. Bella Swan, your average teenage girl, moves to Forks, the rainiest place in America, from sunny Phoenix. She goes to live with her father, who is police chief of this sleepy town. Life for Bella seems to be painfully dull, until she meets Edward Cullen. Edward has stunning good looks, a biting wit, and oh did I mention he is a vampire? "Twilight" is a story of falling in love, and fighting to stay alive against all the odds. It is funny, smart, and action packed. "Twilight" is the first book in a four book series. It is followed by "New Moon", "Eclipse", and "Breaking Dawn."  As the series progresses we find ourselves learning about the different kinds of love; love between friends, love between mother and child and the love of the friends who become your family. "Twilight" is also a major motion picture scheduled for release  by Summit Entertainment. 

                                                                     

 

In My Opinion: This is a great book, well worth the read. Each book is about 500+ pages long, and each page just seems to fly by. If you are looking for a book to get caught up in, I recommend “Twilight”. It is an easy read, yet it does not talk down to it’s audience. Stephenie Meyer is a master of crafting tangible characters, and keeping the story moving. I have heard from people between the ages of 14-50 who love this book.
