The Giver

Imagine a world without any kind of pain –mental or physical- sounds perfect? That same world also lacks meaning. This is the futuristic world that “The Giver” takes place in.  The world has done away with pain, and only one person carries the memories of the world before this change. Jonas, a young boy, is chosen to receive these memories. Join him on a path of exploration that uncovers emotion and feeling, the likes of which few have ever known.

In My Opinion: It is a different look at the life we know, it is an outsiders view of daily lives we lead. This book causes a person to reevaluate their own lives, and think about the trials they have gone through.  The hardships in our life make us who we are, and give us depth-find out what happens when that depth is gone.
