Harry Potter    

 

The Harry potter series is about a boy, orphaned at a young age who is forced to live with his cruel relatives. He is deprived of love and affection. Harry's life changes for the better on his eleventh birthday when he finds out that he is a Wizard, who is going to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Harry not only get's to leave his horrible relatives (for the school term) but he also inherits a small Wizard fortune. Everything seems to be going his way, until the presence  of "He Who Must Not Be Named" starts to appear at Hogwarts. "He Who Must Not Be Named" was a powerful Wizard years ago, who killed and tortured countless people. He had many followers, who committed evil deeds for him-until he disappeared ten years ago. Now it seems the Dark Lord and Harry have a connection, read and find out. Follow Harry as he learns how to love, fight, and succeed in the face of danger through this seven book series by J. K. Rowling. There are currently five movies, based on the books. Two more movies, are on the way to being released.

In my Opinion: I have loved this book series since I was in Elementary school, and as I grew up so did the books. The characters, and topics get a little older with each book, and bring with them a life lesson. These books teach of the power of love, dealing with loss, and supporting your friends. It is a great read, that really puts you in a whole new world. By the time you finish reading this series, do not be surprised if you find yourself using the words "muggle", "house elves", or "unforgivable curses."  The books in the series, are numbered by Harry's years at Hogwarts. Year One: "Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone", Year Two: "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets", Year Three: "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban", Year Four: "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire", Year Five: "Harry Potter and the Oder of the Phoenix, Year Six: "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince", Year  Seven: " Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows."
