"What Happened to Lani Garver?"

Claire, is in remission from leukemia,, and is now in the foreign world of High School, where Claire wants to fit in. She is part of the popular crowd with a good looking guy on her arm. Life is uncomplicated and going good. Things start to change when a new kid shows up at school; Lani Garver. From looking and Lani, Claire can't tell wither Lani is a boy or a girl. The circle Claire runs with, develops a strong dislike for Lani. Things become complicated when Claire and Lanni become close friends. All the while Claire is not sure wither Lani is A boy, or something else entirely. Claire and Lani's unconventional friendship helps her feel better about herself, become more accepting of those who are different-and eventually leads to the disappearance or death? Of Lani.  This book will leave Readers asking themselves "What happened to Lani Garver?"

                                                           

In My Opinion: At first the book started off slow, but I really got into it. It was like nothing I had read before. As the reader you try to put clues together to see if you can figure out wither Lani is a Boy, or a Girl, or An Angel? This book demonstrates the fear people have of the unknown, but also the love a person can show you, when you take the time to get to know them.
